The glass ceramics using tailings as raw materials is a novel method for the comprehensive utilization of tailings. The characteristics and preparation process of glass-ceramics are briefly summarized,and the preparation of tailings glass-ceramics is introduced. Effect of tailings on the processes,microstructure and physical chemistry property of glass ceramics is discussed. The research progress of tailings glass-ceramics is expounded,and the development direction and application prospects of tailings glass-ceramics are anticipated.
