《武汉会战日方资料丛编》是江汉大学武汉抗战研究中心、武汉博物馆组织编译的日本方面关于武汉会战的报道、战史及研究成果等资料汇编。丛书共6卷:一是《<战史丛书>武汉会战资料汇编》,收录了当时日本政府及大本营关于武汉会战的决策命令等,记述了日军在武汉会战中的进程,是日本方面研究武汉会战的重要资料;二是《<朝日新闻>武汉会战报道汇编》,共分3卷,收录了《朝日新闻》关于武汉会战的新闻报道,同时收录日方关于中山舰的相关资料,动态地反应了日军进攻武汉的详细过程;三是《武汉会战日军参战部队战史选译》,包括《熊本兵团战史》和《乡土部队奋战史》中关于武汉会战的内容;四是《武汉会战日方图片汇编》,以当时日本出版的历史写真图片为主,也收录了战后日本部分研究著作所披露的图片,具体而直观地反应了日军在武汉会战中的部分表现。整套丛书对于全面而具体地了解日军在武汉会战中的情况具有重要的参考价值。当然,丛书内容带有浓厚的日方感情色彩,比如对日军作战力的吹嘘和对中国军队的鄙视污蔑等,阅读和使用时一定要注意鉴别。

Wuhan Battle: Collection of Data from Japan compiled by Wuhan Anti-Japanese War Wars Research Center of Jianghan University and Wuhan Museum is a collection of reports,historical documents,and military history research results about Wuhan Battle from the Japanese side. This Collection is divided into four parts,six volumes: Part One,War History Documents- Wuhan Battle Data Collection,includes Japanese government and headquarters' decisions and orders related to Wuhan Battle,which recorded the course of the Japanese army during the battle. These are important Wuhan Battle materials for research on the Japanese part. Part Two,Asahi Shimbun –Collection of News Reports about Wuhan Battle,has three volumes; this part puts together Asahi Shimbun's news reports about Wuhan Battle and related information from the Japanese side about the Zhongshan Warship,which reflects a detailed and dynamic process of the Japanese attacks. Part Three,Selected Translations of the Japanese Fighting Forces' History during the Wuhan Battle,includes contents about Wuhan Battle from Kumamoto Corps War History and Local Troops( Oita) Fighting History. Part Four,Collections of Wuhan Battle Pictures from the Japanese Side,includes mainly the historical photos published in Japan and pictures disclosed in some research works by Japanese scholars after the War; these pictures intuitively reflect the Japanese army's concrete performances in the Wuhan Battle. The entire Collection offers an important reference for a comprehensive and detailed study of the Japanese army during the Wuhan Battle. Unavoidably,the collection conveys strong emotion on the Japanese part,such as boasts of the Japanese fighting forces and their contempt and slander against the Chinese forces.
