宗教与艺术的内在关联

The Internal Relations of Religion and Art

宗教与艺术作为人类的高级精神活动,从表面上看,它们似乎有着完全不同的出发点和归宿,但是从根本意义上讲,它们又都是对人的有限性的反思、对人的生存的关切和对人生终极意义的追问,因此,从严肃的、终极的意义上讲,宗教与艺术是相通的;从宗教与艺术的情感体验上看,两者都表现出物我一体的高峰状态,甚至有的时候它们是交叉在一起进行的,表现出很强的相关性;从宗教与艺术追求的目标上看,它们都追求一种理想的人格境界,都希望以最高的生命存在方式置身生命世界,即两者在道德修养上是一致的。可见,尽管宗教与艺术分属不同的领域,功能与作用也不尽相同,但是水乳交融的混生共相关系,使得两者之间有着太多的关联性,尤其在终极关怀、情感体验、道德修养方面具有深刻的内在关联。

Religions and art, as advanced spiritual activities of human beings, superficially, have totally different starting point and destination. But fundamentally speaking, they both are reflections on finiteness of human beings, concerned with human survival and inquiries into the ultimate meaning of life. Therefore, in the serious and ultimate sense, religions and art are interlinked. From the viewpoint of emotional experience of religions and art, they show peak form in whieh the human beings and their eireumstances are as a whole world. Even sometimes, they entwine with each other, displaying strong relevance and homogeny. Seen from the goals of religions and the art pursuit, they both seek a kind of ideal personality, hoping to place themselves in life world in the highest existing mode, namely, they are consistent in morality and personality cultivation. Obviously, though religions and art belong to different fields, have different functions and effects, they are mixed and have universal relations and similarities as blood and milk. Their profound internal identity lies in their ultimate concern, emotional experience, and emotional experience.
