摘要
《渐》是丰子恺先生《缘缘堂随笔》中的一篇。文章以其独特的美感得到中国文学界和读者群的青睐。而张培基先生是我国著名的散文翻译家,所译散文受到译界推崇。本文拟运用刘宓庆、毛荣贵提出的翻译美学理论,从韵律、字词、句子、意境四个层面对张培基英译的《渐》进行审美重构,分析张培基英译散文《渐》如何再现汉语散文的美学价值,从而为散文的翻译研究提供一定的借鉴和参考。
＂ Gradualness＂ is one of the proses written by Feng Zikai and collected in his Yuan Yuan Hall Essay. The unique beauty of the prose attracts eyes of both Chinese literary field and readers of all ages. Zhang Peiji is a famous prose translator,and his translation work has been endorsed by other translators. This paper intends to adopt translation aesthetic theory proposed by Liu Miqing and Mao Ronggui to analyze how Zhang Peiji＇s English translation of ＂ Gradualness＂ reproduces aesthetic value of the original Chinese prose. The aesthetic reconstruction consists of four levels as rhythm,words,sentences,and artistic conception. It is hoped that the analysis may provide references for prose translation study.
