An Investigation on College Quality,Earning of Graduates and Job Satisfaction

基于高校毕业生问卷调查数据,研究大学教育质量、毕业生收入对工作满意度的影响。研究结果显示,在收入确定条件下,大学教育质量与工作满意度负相关,尤其在与工作经济收益有关的特征方面,负相关程度尤为显著。深入研究发现,在男性和女性之间,大学质量与工作满意度负相关程度没有明显差别。此外,研究发现,不同高校之间在工作满意度上也没有明显差别。

This study investigates the effects on job satisfaction from college quality among a recent cohort of college graduates. Our results suggest that, controlling the earnings, college quality is negatively related to job satisfaction, especially to those aspects of the job that are associated with monetary rewards. Further analysis indicates that there is no significant difference between the male and female groups, and negative relationship between satisfaction with monetary rewards and college quality. These findings do not support the view that graduating from elite schools will necessarily lead to greater job satisfaction.
