从《论语》析伯夷形象

The Analysis of Bo Yi's Image in the Analects of Confucius

《论语》中的伯夷形象是较为清晰的,孔子在《论语》中给予了伯夷"仁"的评价,这从"求仁得仁"中即可看出。而在孔子看来,伯夷之"仁"则包含有三个重要内容,即"让"、"义"、"忠"。伯夷之"让"是伯夷之"仁"的重要表现形式,而伯夷之"义"则是伯夷在追求"仁"的过程中所表现出的一种行为,因此不仅可以将伯夷之"义"视为伯夷之"仁"的重要内涵,也可将伯夷之"义"视为伯夷以"仁"为目的的"行义"。而伯夷之"忠"则是伯夷之"仁"的内在动力。除此之外,伯夷在追求"仁"的过程中所表现出来的杀身成仁的精神,也是伯夷之"仁"内涵的一部分。

The image of Bo Yi is comparatively clear in the Analects of Confucius. Confucius considered Bo Yi as benevolence, which can be learned from the saying seek benevolence and get benevolence. In Confucius＇ s opinion, Bo Yi＇s benevolence included three important aspects： comity, righteousness and loyalty. The eomity was a significant form ~of his benevolence, and his righteousness was the conduct in his process of pursuing benevolence. Therefore, Bo Yi＇ s righteousness was important connotation of his benevolence, and Bo Yi＇ s righteousness also can be viewed as doing something righteous for the purpose of his benevolence. And his loyalty was an inner motive of his benevolence. In addition, the spirit of sacrifice for a justice cause in the process of pursuing benevolence was also an aspect of his benevolence.
