Under the background of traditional medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and music therapy had some similarities in the following aspects： yin-yang and five elements as theirs philosophical foundation, whole view and natural view as their concept system, preservation both physique and mentality as theirs health preserving main idea, and syndrome differentiation and treatment as theirs characteristics. Based on theoretical and clinical characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine music therapy could integrate whole view and syndrome differentiation and treatment, which is the theoretical foundation of traditional Chinese medicine music treatment.
