This paper introduces the technological characteristics of a sequential oil transport pipeline. Combining the fea- tures of the sequential transport technology, it gives the mechanism of producing mixed oil in sequential transport and describes the formula of calculating the quantity of mixed oil in such a process, including the theory formula and the empiric formula. In ad- dition, by analyzing the quantity of mixed oil produced in sequential transport of the pipeline, this paper also gives a number of suggestions on measures of reducing the mixed oil in sequential transport.
