摘要
本文考察和分析了连动式的语序以及其他句法特征,这些特征可概括为:不可违反的象似性语序;宾语共享;主语共享;象似性只发生在动词之间;具有象似性语序的动词之间不存在论元关系;动词之间的结构关系因具体语言而定。连动式把象似性放到造句层面来表达,既把这个功能性的语言现象强行纳入普遍语法的管辖范围,也正好触及普遍语法的薄弱之处。
The serial verb construction has several unique traits:the iconic word order only for verbs without a thematic relation in between,object-sharing,subject-sharing,plus lack of a cross-linguistically uniform structural relation between the verbs.This cluster of traits can be explained if we recognize that Universal Grammar has certain functional gaps while trying to express iconicity with its limited structural apparatuses.This work is an effort to explore the possibility to make the formal theory and the functional theory join force in order to deepen our understanding of language.
