This essay analyzes the financing theory and the financing advantage of Asset - Backed Securitization （ABS） , which is an innovative financial tool of the capital mar- ket. Then, this essay combines the financing theory of ABS with China＇ s public rental housing financing problem. This essay analyzes the role of the ABS on how to improve the government＇ s financial financing channels, the direct financing and the indirect financing. Research shows that the ABS will play an important role in these aspects. Firstly, ABS will push the government to orient the financing way into the market under the guidance of government financing mode. Secondly, ABS will promote the civil and social capital to enter the field of affordable housing. Finally, ABS can effectively promote the process of the construction of affordable housing.
