National Transformation and Modern Politics: Understand Chinese Politics by Tracing Its Heritage and Development

中国现代政治,到底是西方的,还是中国的?是应该按照西方的逻辑走,还是按照中国的逻辑走?为了回答这个问题,本文从现代政治文明的本质入手,结合中国千年帝国的现代转型,从历史和理论两个维度探究了中国现代政治从何而来,为何产生,从何建构以及走向何方这样一系列基本问题,从而得出结论:要真正理解和把握现代中国政治,应该回归到中国的大历史、大社会,从中国自身把握中国现代政治。在这其中,要牢牢把握一条主线,这就是中国现代政治一直是在力图解决古老大国实现整体转型以及全体人民实现整体掌握国家权力这两个根本性的历史课题中建构起来的。

It is a question whether modern Chinese politics adopts western or Chinese political system.Should modern Chinese politics be identified to follow the logic of western countries or should it keep its own tradition? On the basis of modern political civilization's essence, this article studies a series of essential questions about the origin, reason, basis and future of modern Chinese politics in historical and theoretical dimensions by joint analysis of China's modern transition for thousands of years. It is concluded that modern Chinese politics should be understood and identified by tracing its heritage and social development. Thus modern Chinese politics is established mainly by continuous efforts to propel the overall transition in this old nation and to exercise state power by the people.
