Return break-off during operation of circulating fluidized bed boiler will cause steam load to drop sharply, which will force the boiler to shut down. This problem was solved by changing the return valve air distribution mode from air duct to wind cap, and supplying return wind to return valve by Roots blowers. The boiler has been running steadily and operation control was simplified after modification.
