To protect women＇s legal rights and interests, Harbin （capital of Northeast China＇s Heilongjiang Province）, during the 15th Session of tbe 14th Standing Committee of Municipal People＇s Congress （held on June 20）, adopted the Regulations of Harbinon the Protection of Women＇s Rights and Interests. The regulations, the first of the kind to be adopted by the city, took effect on November 1.
