On the Moral Belief Crisis and Its Solution

当今社会,人们的道德信仰面临严重危机。道德信仰是人们对道德的笃信与敬仰,是实现道德自律的内在机制。道德信仰的实质是人们对人性和生活的一种价值承诺。通过价值承诺,人获得了内在的尊严与价值,生活获得了自身的意义。道德信仰危机导致人们对道德的否定和摒弃。传统道德的合法性危机、道德需求的萎缩、社会支撑系统的脆弱等严重损害了人们的道德信仰。要重建道德信仰,就个人而言,必须养心立德,提高道德能力;就社会而言,必须弘扬传统美德,强化道德的社会支撑,维护社会正义。

The morality belief of some people is in crisis in the modern society.The belief for morality, which is a firm belief and respect, is the internal mechanism of the moral autonomy.The morality belief is a value promise for life or humanity in essence.People have gained the inherent dignity and value, and the life has gained its own significance because of value promise.The moral belief crisis has made people deny and discard the morality.People’ s moral belief has been damaged by the legitimacy crisis of traditional morality, the fragility of the social support system and the atrophy of the moral need.The people should cultivate virtue and raise their moral ability and the society should carry forward the traditional virtues, strengthen social sup-port for moral and protect social justice in order to reconstruct moral belief.
