The design features and the key factors for affecting the separation effect of LA1450-B large diameter two products heavy medium cyclone produced by LUDOWICI was introduced. It was indicated through theoretical calculation and practical application that the density of separation, feed pressure,dry slime capacity and quality of heavy medium were the key parameter influencing the effects of cyclone preparation, and it was proved that higher yield of clean coal could be obtained by two large diameter pressure two products heavy medium cyclone in series. It easier to control the separation density and acquire to higher separation efficiency, so large diameter heavy medium cyclone will be widely used in coal preparation plant design and modification in the future.
