新时期,中国高等教育发展过程中存在较多问题和面临很多矛盾,大多数问题和矛盾均与高等教育宏观社会功能和微观社会功能不能有效发挥密切相关。从理论上来看,高等教育的宏观社会功能包括系统的支持功能、全球范围内的交换功能和系统内的调适功能,微观社会功能包括社会化和社会选择功能。现实情况表明,中国高等教育发展过程中既存在宏观层面的不平衡发展,也存在微观层面的无序发展,并且宏观层面的不平衡和微观层面的无序交织在一起造成中国高等教育所面临的困境。

In new era,in the process of China's higher education development,there are many problems and many conflicts,most of which have close relationship with the macro social function and micro-social function of Higher Education. In theory,the macro-social functions of higher education include the support functions of the system,the worldwide switching and adaptation functions in the system,and micro-social functions include socialization and social choice functions. The reality shows that in the development of Chinese higher education there exists not only the macro level uneven development,but also the disordered development of the micro-level,interweaving of which caused the difficulties faced by the Chinese Higher Education.
