摘要
CAL编码MADS-box转录因子,参与控制花分生组织的特性,在拟南芥中发生突变时没有明显的表型;不过花椰菜的BobCAL由于终止密码子提前出现导致花球的形成,而甘蓝的BoCAL可以编码完整CAL蛋白;可见,CAL同源基因在十字花科不同种的植物中具有不同的功能,不过BobCAL是否具有促进开花功能还不清楚。此研究通过构建BoCAL和BobCAL植物双元表达载体,通过浸花法获得了转基因拟南芥,结果发现BoCAL具有促进拟南芥Col和Ws两种生态型植物提前开花的功能;而BobCAL仅能促进Col拟南芥提前开花,而在Ws生态型拟南芥中却未观察到类似的功能。
CAL(CAULIFLOWER)gene,belonging to MADS-box gene,is involved in the regulation of the flower meristem identity.In Arabidopsis thaliana,loss of cal has no obvious phenotype.However,the cauliflower phenotype in Brasscia oleracea L.var.botrytis was caused by the truncated protein of BobCAL,while Brasscia oleracea has no cauliflower formation since BoCAL is full length.It is not clear whether BoCAL has function of promoting flowering.The plasmids overexpressiong BoCAL or BobCAL were constructed and transformed into Arabidopsis thaliana.The results showed that ectopic expression BoCAL promoted flowering in both Col and Ws.And some transformed flowers also formed in the transgenic plants with BoCAL in Col.Over-expression of BobCAL gene in Col also speeded flowering up to certain extent,while no phenotype occurred when over-expression of BobCAL gene in Ws.These results suggested that BobCAL did not completely lose function in flowering regulation.
