Analysis on Mineral Resources Prospect in Homonhon Island of Samar in Eastern Philippines

铬铁矿是国内短缺矿种,在中国储量少、产量低,每年80%以上的消费量依靠进口。菲律宾东萨马省豪门鸿岛有丰富铬铁砂矿、红土型镍矿、红土型褐铁矿等资源。通过对豪门鸿岛的区域成矿环境、岛内主要地质特征进行论述,对豪门鸿岛矿产远景进行分析。

Chromium ore is the domestic poor mineral, which is of less reserves and low yield in China. More than 80% of the annual consumption relies on imports. Homonhon Island of Samar in Eastern Philippines is rich in chromite sand, lateritic nickel ore, lateritic limonite ore and other resources. Based on the discussion on regional metallogenic environment and the main geological characteristics of Homonhon Island, the mineral prospect of Homonhon Island is analyzed.
