Zhang Qiyun's Fresh Confucian Thoughts on Children-oriented Education

作为我国著名的教育学家,张其昀以儒学思想为基础,形成了其独特的儿童本位的中小学教育思想。他认为修身为一切教育之根源;倡导德智体美群五育并重之教育理想;主张社会中心教育;提倡公民教育与人才教育应兼顾并重,教育需要均衡发展。

Zhang Qiyun, a well-noted educator, developed his own children-oriented educational thoughts for primary and middle schools, which was based on Confucius educational philosophy. According to Zhang, cultivating one’s own moral quality is the essence of education, nurturing the five traits of morality, intelligence, fitness, aesthetics and sociability is shared in education,and community education, citizenship and talent education are equally strengthened to promote the balanced development of education.
