Failing to realize his political appeals during his relegation to Kuizhou,LIU Yu-xi determined to use poetry to pour forth his feelings, devoting much time and energy to poem writing so as to remedy a defect in his political career.He made new developments in his history and nostalgia poetry and folksong styled Yuefu poetry.So he realized his artistic transformation in Sichuan Province.
