New Thought on Agricultural Cooperation Between China and South America

加强中国与南美国家的农业合作,对维护全球和中国粮食安全有重要意义。积极推动南美粮食物流新通道建设,着力改进和建立仓储、物流、港口、农产品加工等环节的基础设施,是加强中南农业战略合作的新思路。通过新的粮食物流通道建设,挖掘通道覆盖区域的粮食生产能力,开发新的耕地,既可为当地扩大生产,又可为国际粮食市场增添供给,也可为中国粮食安全建立必要的补充基地。

Strengthening of cooperation between China and South America is very significant for maintaining the grain security of the world,including China.China should actively push the construction of new grain logistics channels in South America and improve and establish infrastructure in grain storage,logistics,port and agricultural product processing,which is a new philosophy in agricultural strategic cooperation between the two sides.It is important to construct new grain logistics channel,tap grain production capacities in areas covered by the channels and develop new arable land,because those measures expand the production capacities in South America,increase grain supply for international market and provide a necessary supplementary base that promotes China's grain security.
