摘要
认知语言学认为翻译本质上是跨文化的认知活动。本文以《红楼梦》第一回四个英文译本为蓝本,从语义框架、焦点与背景、详略度、视角、象似性等五个方面探讨了认知语法视野下的翻译维度。
Cognitive Linguistics holds that translation is actually a process of cross-culture cognitive activity. Based on four first chapter English versions of the Chinese classic novel A Dream of Red Mansions（ or The Story of the Stone）,this paper discusses in some detail about five dimensions of translation related to such activity from the perspective of cognitive grammar. The five dimensions dealt with include semantic frame,figure ＆ ground,specificity,perspective and iconicity.
