翻译,在中国长达两千多年的历史发展进程中,对中国本土文化意识形态的形成和演变意义深远。然而,这种影响同时也带来了沉痛的后果和教训。致使"唯西是从"、文化"拿来"等观念在当前中国学术界和教育界仍在一定程度上存在,影响着青年学人的价值观和意识形态立场。今天,中国教育体制内、外风行的英语"考试热"、翻译"证书热"和海外"留学热"等现象就是明证,其形成的原因、影响及其可能的后果,亟待引起中国全社会的警醒和反思。

For more than 2000 years, translation is of far-reaching significance to the formation and evolution of the Chinese native cultural ideology. The four translation climaxes in the Chinese history have given a good illustration to this incredible impact. However, it also brings painful consequences and lessons. The concepts ＂the western superiority＂, the cultural ＂Borrowism＂.etc. in current Chinese academic circles and educational circles, seriously affect the values and ideology of Chinese youth. An obvious phenomenon is that it exists all levels of ＂English testing heats＂, ＂translation certificate heats＂ and ＂overseas study heats＂ in the internal and external Chinese education systems. Therefore, A rational, objective analysis and reflection should be attached urgently on the causes and its possible consequences by Chinese whole society.
