语用视角下的英语专业学生学术论文场标记语使用

A Study of the Use of Stance Markers in Academic Papers by English Majors from the Perspective of Pragmatics

摘要 采用定量分析及定性分析结合的方法,对中国英语专业学生及英美学者在学术论文写作中结论部分立场标记语的使用情况作了对比分析。研究将语料中的立场标记语按四个类别(认知型、义务型、态度型、方式型)分别进行手工标注统计,并从语用角度分析和阐释中国学生在结论部分对立场标记语的使用特点及其与英美学者的差异。研究结果表明,与英美学者相比,中国英语专业学生过多使用义务型立场标记语,而过少使用表达可能性的认知型立场标记语及态度型立场标记语,由此可以看出中国学生和英美学者的面子观和人际互动意识。 By combination of qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis ,the paper makes a contrastive analysis of the concluding parts of academic papers by Chinese English majors and British and American scholars of language .By dividing into four types of the stance markers of the concluding parts in the corpus of Chinese English majors (cognitive ,dutiful ,attitudinal ,and methodological) and making a respective statistics of them through manual marking ,the paper analyzes the features of these four types from the perspective of pragmatics ,and contrasts them with the corresponding parts in the academic papers by British and American scholars of language .The research reveals that ,against scholars of British and A‐merican scholars ,Chinese English majors tend to overuse the dutiful stance markers w hereas they tend to underuse cognitive stance markers and attitudinal markers ,which express probability in general .As a con‐sequence ,the paper has shown the difference in the perception of face and interpersonal communication be‐tween Chinese English majors and British and American scholars of language .
