摘要
《自私的巨人》是英国唯美主义作家奥斯卡·王尔德公认最优秀的童话作品.本文尝试运用诺斯洛普·弗莱的原型批评理论及方法,从圣经意象和主题这两个视角阐释该童话文本与圣经原型的关系,从而从文化角度更加深入地理解该作品,揭示文学的整体性特征.
The Selfish Giant is the recognized best fairy tale of Oscar Wilde, the famous English Aestheticism writer. This paper explainsthe relationship between the text and the Biblical archetypes from the two perspectives of the biblical imagery and themes with thetheory and method of Frye＇s Biblical archetype criticism. Thus it gives a better understanding of the works in-depth from the perspectiveof culture.
