对从《复合动词资料集》中抽取的400个复合动词样本进行分类统计的结果是:自动词+自动词、他动词十他动词这两类自他性一致的结合方式约占总数的2/3,自动词+他动词、他动词+自动词这两类自他性不一致的结合方式约占总数的1/3。通过分析自动词与他动词的句子结构解释4类结合方式如何结合成复合动词;并通过自动词的下位分类,将复合动词的4类自他结合方式进一步细化为7类结合方式。

The result of classification statistics of 400 sample compound verbs taken from The Compound Verb Collection is that the combination verbs with consistent quality account for about two-thirds of the total number and those with inconsistent quality make up about one-third. The analysis of sentence structure of transitive verbs and intransitive verbs explains how these four kinds of combination ways combine verbs into compound ones. And the subordination classification of intransitive verbs further divides the combination ways of four types of compound verbs into seven.
