客商教育传统及其现代流变

The Tradition of Hakkas Merchant Education and Its Modern Rheology

客商教育具有劝勉后学、耕读为本、诗礼传家、崇文尚武、致富兴教等特征。其根源是客商流离失所艰苦环境的造就,是客商强烈危机意识的反映,是客商对传统华夏文化精神的吮吸与沉淀。现代教育的全民性、终身性、生产性、科学性、国际性等特征,与客商教育形成了种种冲突。两者冲突的结果形成一种融合的趋势:读书礼仪与科学技术的融合,科举教育演变为全民教育,客商教育逐渐与社会生活融合,光宗耀祖逐渐与国际视野融合。

Hakkas Merchant education,characterized by exhorting the juniors to study,advocating farming and reading,culturing family,respecting culture and martial arts,achieving wealth by education,is essentially created by the merchants＇ harsh living environment,and is also a reflection of the strong sense for crisis and the absorption and deposition of traditional Chinese culture. Modern education,which is national,lifelong,productive,scientific and international,has been in conflict with Hakkas Merchant education,which results in the tendency to form a fusion of the ritual reading and the science and technology,the Hakkas merchant education and the social life,the glorifying family and the international vision with imperial education evolved into universal education.
