A Study of Second Language Sentence Processing Based on ERP Technology

句法加工是人脑的一个重要机能。对二语句子在大脑的表征和加工的研究可以揭示二语习得中形态结构难学的原因,对二语习得研究有重要意义。本文首先从神经认知心理语言学使用的关于语言加工的核心技术ERP介绍入手,描述了ERP技术和句子加工的关系。接着重点评述了ERP技术在晚时二语学习者句子加工中的相关应用以及最新研究成果。最后本文对该技术在今后二语句子研究中的应用进行了展望和总结。

Syntactic processing is an important function of human brain. Studies on how second language sentences are represented and processed in brains can reveal the difficult reasons for learning syntax, and thus will be beneficial for second language acquisition. This paper begins from an introduction of the core ERP technology employed by neurocognitive and psycholinguistics in language processing, which describes the relationship between ERP technology and sentence processing study. Then it is focused on reviewing studies of ERP technology applications employed in late second language learners＇ sentence processing and its latest research findings. Finally, the paper concludes future potential applications of ERP technology in the study of second language sentence processing.
