摘要
1978年以来,中国高等教育经历了两个以外延发展为主的跨越式发展阶段和两个以内涵发展为主的稳定发展阶段,内涵和外延两种发展方式交替互动,是我国高等教育发展的历史选择,具有客观必然性。经过30多年的发展,我国高等教育无论是规模扩张还是内涵建设都取得了举世瞩目的成就。中国高等教育发展历程表明,高等教育的跨越式发展需要在借鉴世界高等教育发展经验的基础上,顺应社会与群众的根本需求,发挥政府的意志和推动力,调动地方政府办学积极性。
Since 1978, Chinese higher education has experienced two processes. One is the great-leap-forward development which is on behalf of the number growth. The other is the stable development which is on behalf of the connotative growth. The interaction of these two processes is the historical choice and a necessity of our higher education. After three decades of development, our higher education has obtained remarkable achievements. The development history of our higher education has proved that the great-leap-forward development of higher education need to draw lessons from successful experiences of other countries, responding to the needs of society, driving the force and the will of government, and mobilizing the enthusiasm of local governments.
