The article focuses on explaining why the climax of Chinese writing its own press h/story happened in 1920s, and discussing the or/gin and logic of"the history of Chinese newspapers and periodicals" as narrative text. At that time the authors thought that "China" was not only the narrative range, but also writing position, with the prerequisite that Chinese press not only includes noteworthy particularities, hut also had its own logic. With this prerequisite, the majority of these texts showed the biased but self-consistent prospect, with the conflict between the two wings of "operation" and "spirit" as logic line.
