摘要
本文旨在以《交际英语教程核心课程》(CECL)1的改编为例探讨基于任务型语言教学教材中任务的设计及编写模式。为达此目的,本文首先从任务型教学的热潮及其实施中存在的问题阐述教材改编的必要性。然后讨论任务型教学的核心概念"任务"的定义,并详细介绍吴旭东(2012,2013)提出的任务可操作化定义,即该套教材改编的理论模式。最后以编写实例展示任务的设计及实施步骤,说明C E C L教材的改编版将是一套真正意义上全面采用任务型教学模式的高校英语教材,可以为我国外语教材的编写及其教学提供启示。
This paper aims to discuss the task design and compiling model of task-based coursebooks through the revision of Communicative English for Chinese Learners (CECL). To achieve this purpose, it first argues that there is a great need to revise CECL by adopting the task-based language teaching (TBLT) approach for the reason that though TBLT has achieved the status of a new orthodoxy in language teaching, there are still many problems in its implementation. Then it discusses the definitions of the core concept“task” in TBLT and thereby introduces its conceptualized definition proposed by Wu Xudong (2012, 2013), which is in fact the theoretical framework for the revision of CECL. This is followed by exemplifying the task design and its application in revising CECL. Finally a conclusion is drawn that CECL will be one of the few truly task-based coursebooks and can shed some new light on the compilation of L2 coursebooks and L2 teaching in China.
