非英语专业大学生交际策略能力调查

A Study of Oral Communication Strategy Used by Chinese NonEnglish Majors

摘要 本研究采用问卷调查和访谈的方法,以CET-4成绩作为区分高低语言水平组的指标,调查了英语语言水平和性别因素对非英语专业学生交际策略的影响。结果发现:高水平学习者与低水平学习者在交际策略总体使用上无显著差异,但在交际策略的各个分类上存在差异,这主要体现在:低水平学习者比高水平学习者使用更多的母语策略和减缩策略;而男女生在交际策略的使用上无显著差异。本文结合访谈结果,从学生的策略意识、语言观念和文化背景等视角对结果进行了分析。 This study examines the effects of language proficiency and gender on Chinese non-English majors’ use of oral communication strategies through a questionnaire survey and interviews. The findings revealed that language proficiency has a significant impact on the use of L1-based strategies and reduction strategies. Another major finding is that gender has little impact on the use of communication strategies. The findings were mainly discussed from the perspectives of strategy awareness and language perceptions of the subjects.
