徐渭与卡拉瓦乔,一中一西,却都被称为艺术上的疯子。艺术源于生活,其实更源于生命。研究二者的绘画艺术,是对二者惊世骇俗、敢为天下先的艺术生命的探索。徐渭开创了中国大写意花鸟画先河,在艺术上绝不依附他人,喜好独创一格,具有强烈的个性,风格豪迈而放逸;卡拉瓦乔则是西方现实主义艺术开拓者,作品具有鲜明民主主义精神,与当时古典主义分庭抗礼,将现实生活中贫苦百姓引入教堂圣像画。
