This study deeply explores the rich experiences of William Wordsworth regarding to time and space, and how these experiences helps him to focus on building up geographical image and constructing new geographical space in his poems. In The Prelude, he pays attention to the narrative strategy in interpreting geographical space for developing a way to further express his feeling and emotion, which is considered as an excellent example for British romantic poet in 19th century. Our study systemically analyzes The Prelude based on its literariness, which leads to an effective practice of geographic literary criticism.
