美国作家迈克尔·坎宁的《时时刻刻》中出现了多次自杀情节。与多数从意象分析自杀死亡的角度不同，·本文试图从心理学以及社会学的角度对于这些情节展开剖析，揭示造成书中人物自杀的现代化生活，良知以及同性恋压力等原因，并且以生命意义作为切入点，探讨解决这些心理以及社会因素困扰的方法。
In The Hours, written by Michael Cunningham, there are three committed or attempted suicides. Different from the perspective of symbolism on this by other researchers, to approach this subject from the psychological and sociological aspects. Through this perspective, the revelatian of the complex co-functioning of social pressure, conscience and homosexuality on the suicides will be executed as well as the significance of life, which can be realized as the final solution for this problem.
