With the building area of about 5,500 square meters, Yantai Urban Art Museum has two exhibition halls. The halls cover an area of 3,000 square meters. Since the art museum opened, it has taken being a high-level and modern art museum as the goal and established the concepts of 'promoting Yantai culture and looking into the future of Yantai culture'. It will make great efforts to push forward the development of Yantai's culture and art, and promote the education of cultural art. Jiaodong Theatre is one of the important cultural facilities of Yantai. With the building area of 11,000 square meters, the theatre can put on largescale performances such as art shows, musical plays, and dramas, and can also hold conferences. The stage equipment is of the f irst level in China. Jiaodong Cultural Square has the biggest watercurtain film-screen in Shandong Province. It opens at fixed times every week. The beautiful fountain and the melodious music attract many citizens. The whole process is controlled by the computer. The water can be used to bring out hundreds kinds of shapes. The water forms can exceed most of the fountains in Yantai and even in Shandong.
