Moral imagination provides people a platform for imagination, making it possible for people to be more flexible when they make moral judgments. Nevertheless, moral imagination is strongly influenced by inertial thinking when it plays its part. That is to say, stable and conscious inertial thinking benefits moral imagination, whereas prejudiced, inert thinking and think- ing set hinder moral imagination. Inertial thinking pattern can be broken by experiencing more, fostering moral emotions, and making use of the control function of inertial thinking. Also, the moral imagination can be obtained, which can help people be- come moral.
