The uniqueness of religion lies in the supernatural divine form it pursues. This transcendent and mysterious power is unable to be perceived physically. Therefore, the way in which it appears is all the more important. Different religions express their various divinities by means of different hierophanies. Judaism, the initiator of Monotheism, displays its hierophany in a particularly special manner, under the absolute resistance of idol worship. The means by which it uses are divine understand- ing of natural existence, divine conveyance using prophets as a medium, religious ceremonies and festivals taking special divine meanings.
