Leadership is an effective way to promote social reform, the driving force of social progress and is an integral capacity of the future society. Leadership is an essential basic quality of contemporary college students. University is an important position to train qualified builders and reliable successors for socialism. So it is a very important task to carry out an urgent leadership education for college students. This article explores the meaning and constituent elements of leadership education for college student, analyzes the necessity of strengthening the Leadership education for college students and proposes effective measures to strengthen the leadership education for college students from macro level in universities and micro level in college students.
