On the Origin and Traits of Chinese Exegesis

中国训诂学的真正源头,在中华先民的原初性解释活动,在中华先民的经典解释活动,在中华先民解释活动不断提升的进程之中,在汉初训诂学逐渐形成的进程之中。而从中华先民的原初性解释活动开始,就孕育了诠释学特质的种子;这颗诠释学特质的种子,在中华先民的经典解释活动中萌芽,在中华先民解释活动不断提升的进程中生发,在汉初训诂学逐渐形成的进程中茁壮成长,在后来训诂学的发展历程中开花结果。这就全面地、有力地说明,就其大体而言,中国训诂学确实具有诠释学的特质。

The real source of Chinese exegesis lies in the original interpretation activities of Chinese ances-tors,in Chinese ancestors＇interpretations of ancient classics,in the promoting process of their interpretation activities and in the gradual forming process of Exegesis in the Early Han Dynasty.The seed of hermeneutic traits was bred in the original interpretation activities of Chinese ancestors,and it sprouted in Chinese ances-tors＇interpretations of ancient classics,and grew in the promoting process of their interpretation activities and the gradual forming process of Exegesis in the Early Han Dynasty.This leads to a comprehensive and solid conclusion that generally speaking,Chinese exegesis is characterized by hermeneutic traits.
