Regional Cooperation and Development of Higher Education in Western Area

加强西部高等教育区域合作，实现西部高等教育一体化，对整合西部高等教育资源，实现与我国主体功能区相协调的区域高等教育可持续发展，具有极其突出的现实意义。为此，提出西部高等教育区域合作的战略构想．加强西部高等教育区域合作与发展，是当前西部高等教育深化改革、加快发展所面临的一项紧迫任务。

Strengthening regional cooperation and realizing the integration of higher education is extremely meaningful to integrate the western higher education resources and to achieve sustainable development of the regional higher education, which coordinates with the major function oriented zones. Therefore, putting forward the strategic conception of regional cooperation of higher education and strengthening cooperation and development of higher education in western area is an urgent task to deepen the reform and speed up the development of higher education in western area.
