比较文化学视阈下的中英海岛命名研究——以英国和宁波海岛为例

The study on China-UK Island Names in Terms of Comparative Culturology——Taking Britain,and Ningbo Islands as an Example

地名是一种文化形态,地名文化包含历史的、地理的和乡土的文化要素,表现出民族不同历史时期的文化含义。基于比较文化学视角,运用语言学的历史比较方法,对英国和宁波海岛命名进行了研究,通过对海岛命名溯源,包括海岛命名方法、海岛命名语源或词源等方面进行比较,揭示不同的地理和历史环境下产生出不同的海岛名字,以及中英民族对海洋不同的认知和不同的海洋文化发展轨迹。

Place name is a kind of cultural form with a regional, national, historical and cultural deposition. Place culture contains the cultural elements of history, geography and the local with the national cultural aspects of different historical periods. This paper is about the study on British and Ningbo island names based on the perspective of comparative culture, being applied the method of linguistics history comparison. It analyzes the method and traceability of naming island, etymology of island name etc, to reveal the different naming methods and etymology due to different geographical history environment, meanwhile, different cognition of Chinese and British nationality for marine and different marine cultural development track.
