A significant body of evidences show that career development, self-actualization and socialization of undergraduate students depend on the benign development of work possible selves. For the purpose of exploration and theory building of the indigenization of undergraduate students'work possible selves under the Chinese traditional culture and social reality, a narrative interview method was used in this study. We invited 6 excellent graduates from four universities to participate in this study, and analyzed the interview materials based on indigenous Chinese psychology theories and the Identity Statuses Theory. The result showed: (1) family interpersonal relationship network weaved by Favour and Ties of Blood is one of the key ways for undergraduate to obtain ideal employment, and individuals possessing more social resources (or Guanxi) have much easier access to ideal employment than who possesses less social resources. (2) The reality of Favourdriven society, combined with the increasingly consolidated hierarchical system, make undergraduate's work possible selves unbalanced and frozen. Finally, according to the research findings, implications for career guidance were provided.
