The underground pipelines are the basic construction project of the modem city. The survey shows that how to accurately determine the position of the underground pipelines is the most important problem of the operation of the city underground pipelines. So, this paper introduces the probing technique of the underground pipelines and then amply discusses the probing technique. The author hopes that it can promote the smooth implementation of the city underground pipelines operation in China.
