《圣诞颂歌》是狄更斯圣诞故事集中的一篇。这篇小说的主旨是弘扬宽容、博爱的圣诞精神,告诫人们要有一颗仁慈善良的心,从而奠定了现代圣诞节的寓意和内涵。借用柏拉图的"灵魂"观以及与此相关的"灵感"说和"迷狂"说来分析《圣诞颂歌》的主人公Scrooge由于三位圣诞精灵的拜访而带来的人生感悟,从而达到了心灵的返璞归真。
A Christmasl Caro is one of Dickens＇ Christmas stories. The theme of the novel is to promote Christmas spirit such as toleration and charity and to admonish people to be malignant and merciful, which provides the allegory and connotation of modern Christmas Day. This paper is to analyze how the protagonist, Scrooge, who is visited three times by three ghosts of Christmas, is inspired and returns to the genuine condition of life.
