摘要
语言类型学和二语习得研究之间的交流和互动包括两个方面:一方面,语言类型学中概括出的语言共性及其变异形式,可以为二语习得研究提供理论依据,为描述、解释和预测二语习得中的各种现象提供新的视角和参项,提升二语习得及中介语研究的理论高度。另一方面,学习者的语言可作为语言类型学研究的样本,二语习得的过程可为语言类型学提供一个潜在的窗口,二语习得可以作为语言共性研究和语言类型变异趋向的试金石,对习得过程的考察可使我们对语言的本质和人类的认知获得更多了解。本文对这两方面的研究进行评述和展望。
The dialogue and interaction between linguistic typology (LT) and second language acquisition (SLA) studies are by definition mutual. On the one hand, the universals and variation patterns derived in typological studies may serve as the starting theoretical hypotheses, research parameters and perspectives in describing, explaining, and predicting various phenomena encountered in SLA, so that SLA may be brought to new horizons and theoretical heights. On the other hand, interlanguages can be taken as testing grounds for LT; its developmental process reveals a lot about the nature of human language and human cognition. This article reviews and proposes further studies in both directions.
