摘要 Hunston教授在评价性语言研究方面颇有建树,主要有四个贡献:一是精辟论述了语言评价的诸多方面;二是构建了语言评价的三分说,并进行了多方应用;三是探索了研究评价性语言的新方法,有较多发现。四是深入研究了英语学术语篇中的评价性语言。 Professor Hunston has made considerable contributions to research on evaluative language. First, she has produced multiple thought-provoking insights concerning various aspects of evaluative language ; secondly, she has constructed a unique trichotomous theory of evaluation in language and put it into analyses of texts of various types ; thirdly, she has explored into various new methods of research on evaluation in language and yielded abundant findings; fourthly, she has done in-depth research into evaluative language in English academic discourse.
