20世纪美国儿童幻想小说概述

美国儿童幻想小说在以《哈利·波特》、《指环王》为首的英国幻想小说潮流的主导下逐渐被忽略,甚至边缘化,而其中的经典优秀之作却未被充分挖掘。基于此目的,本文主要追溯了20世纪美国儿童幻想小说的发展历程,试图厘清其发展脉络,分三个阶段并对各时期的发展特征进行了总结,对重点的作家作品进行了简要介绍,重要的类型发展进行了归纳,以期对于儿童幻想小说这一幻想小说分支在美国发展演变总体把握,同时挖掘介绍其中的优秀作品,为广大读者所认识。

American children＇ s fantasy has long been neglected and marginalized by the public with the great popularity of British fantasy classics such as the Harry Potter series, and The Lord of the Rings. Many remarkable works have been buried, waiting for rediscovery. This paper traces the development of American children＇ s literature in the twentieth century in three stages, seeks to analyze and summarize the trends and features in each stage, and introduces representative writers and books as well as popular subgenres, so as to present a panoramic picture of the landscape in American children＇ s fantasy and to demonstrate the charm and beauty of its excellent works.
