在中唐文人中,刘禹锡的士大夫情怀是很突出的,因而其诗文具有鲜明的个性色彩,这同样影响了他的词创作。政治生涯的受挫,使得作者选择了词这种新型的文学样式,他的词表达了贬谪生涯的感受和思考,也充溢着对人生事物的哲理化思考。作者虽然明确提出依曲拍为句的词创作理念,但其创作实践依然还是以齐言为主,韵律上也和近体诗创作相类似。这些因素使其词有着明显的诗化倾向,但这并不是词人在词创作上的新探索,而是与他的士大夫情怀密切相关。

Among the intellectuals of the Middle Tang Dynasty,Liu Yuxi highlighted himself with his scholar-official feelings,thus his Ci poetry had a distinct individuality,which also affected his creation. He chose Ci poetry to express his feelings and philosophical thinking,when his political career got frustrated.Though he explicitly proposed that Ci creation must follow the beat,most of his creations were neat speeches,like the rhymed poetry. Those factors made his Ci poets have an obvious tendency as a poem. In fact,it was not his new exploration,but it was closely related with his scholar-official feelings.
