摘要
在回答如何建设中国文化软实力时,论者们普遍认为"大力发展文化产业"是一个重要方面,这里的文化产业,当然包括流行文化。但在约瑟夫·奈和亨廷顿等人的论述中,流行文化是否为"软实力"的资源,是一个需要论证的复杂的问题。在充分认识到流行文化可能发挥"软实力"的作用,也可能瓦解一国文化根基的多重性质后,中国文化软实力理论应当在五个方面提供新论:必须在民族精神传统与当代普遍价值之间寻求平衡;必须发展有内容、有意义的流行文化;必须从国内做起;必须广泛动员社会参与和公民行动;不能过分夸大文化的作用以至于形成文化决定论。
In answer to how to build China cultural soft power, the researchers generally believe that the vigorous development of cultural industry is one of the most important aspects. Of course, the cultural industry includes popular culture. But in statements of Joseph Nye, Huntington and others, whether popular culture is the resources of soft power is a complex problem that needs to be proved. In full understanding of multi-properties of popular culture, namely possible soft power role and the disintegration of cultural base in a country, cultural soft power in China should be renewed based on five aspects:a balance between the tradition of nationality spirit and contemporary general value;the development of meaningful popular culture; a start from the domestic;extensive mobilization of social partcipation and civil action; no exaggeration of the role of culture to avoid forming cultural determinism.
